Organization
You will be part of a Data Engineering Scrum team – team Omega – within Alfam Consumer Credits that contributes to better Finance & Risk Reporting Chains.
Projects that are being done in this team are COMPASS/ BCBS239, SSF Only (Simplifying F&R Reporting chains) and Definition of Default (DoD). One of the key ingredients for the upcoming year is setting up a new Azure domain data store. We need an experienced data engineer who can support/guide us with this new technology stack.
The team is part of the Design & Delivery domain within Alfam and consist of 6 Data Engineers, 4 business developers, 1 data architect and 1 product owner.
Function
With the following results (SMART)
· Help the team in setting up a new Azure Data Domain Store with tooling that is Python based, like Databricks and Airflow.
· Design and Development of data products required for the COMPASS/ BCBS239 project.
· Implementation of technical data lineage in close collaboration with the central data department of ABN AMRO.
· Work must be delivered according to architectural standards within Alfam and ABN AMRO
Requirements
Relevant knowledge, skills, competences & desired education level
Senior level of experience and knowledge in regards to:
– Databricks
– Python
– SQL
– Azure (we will be provided a ready-to-build environment on Azure)
– Pyspark is preferred
– Airflow is preferred
– Data Engineering
– Data modelling and architecture
– Data testing
Senior competence in:
– Coaching team members to get them up to speed in a new technology stack
– Able to understand Dutch and English in speech and documentation
– Working together in a team towards a hard deadline
– Never lose sight on high quality
– Excellent analytical skills
